Traveling to London England

England is an English speaking country which does make it easier to navigate through the city. However, there are some other differences that you should know about that will make your trip more enjoyable.

Ordering breakfast can be a challenge when you take a look at some terminology differences. Ordering eggs over easy will get you a blank stare. You must order eggs "lightly cooked" if you want them over easy. If you order ham with your eggs you will get cold lunch meat style ham. You must order bacon to get fried ham. Also be prepared to get baked beans with your breakfast as well as French frys. These are the normal side dishes with a breakfast order.

As you probably know drivers in England drive on the opposite side of the road from Americans or most other countries. This is a little more tricky then one might think. If you are a pedestrian you must look the opposite way before crossing. I have had many horns go off as I looked the wrong way and attempted to cross. In London the correct direction to look is written on the sidewalk which is very helpful.
