Differences of Tour Operators and Travel Agents

Tour Operators & travel Agents are different in Malaysia! And the public have had the wrong perception for long time. In Malaysia, Tour Operators and Travel Agents are different and play different roles. In a factory scenario, a Tour Operator is like the production department and the Travel Agent is like the Sales Department...

A Tour Operator is the organizer and provider of package holidays. It is often referred as the Ground Handler. The Tour Company will make contracts with hotels and resorts, airlines and ground transport companies like private cars, buses, vans, ferries and trains & etc. With all the necessary pricing and information compiled, the Tour Operator will draft detailed tour packages and distribute to Travel Agents in Travel Agent Directory in Malaysia and even overseas.

The roles & responsibilities of a Tour Operator are booking and arranging:

- Transportation: Chaffered Car, Chartered Bus & Van, Air Ticket, Train Ticket, Ferry Ticket, Cruise Ticket, other transit modes and even special vehicles like trishaw.
- Tour Guide: All Tour Guides must be licensed by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia after attending and examined in a professional Tourist Guide Courses.
- Sight Seeing: Entrance for tourist destinations, eco-tour, adventures tour, jungle trekking, snorkeling & scuba diving, island hopping and even handicraft or cultural & living experiences.
- Food & Beverage: Breakfast, Tea Time or Tea Break, Lunch & Dinner, whether by set, buffet or packed food.
- Accommodation: Hotels, Resorts, Service Apartments, Camping Sites, Dormitories, Training Camps, Chalets, Tree Houses or traditional houses & habitats that accommodating travelers.
- Activities: Tele-match, treasure hunt, paint ball, team building, outside office meeting...
- Special Events: Company dinner, karaoke contest.

On the other hand, Travel Agents do not operate tours. Travel agencies gives traveling advices to travelers, promote and sell the tour packages that they have from various Tour Operators, then administer the tour bookings. Travel Agents usually are set up in prime locations with heavy traffic such as beside the main roads, inside crowed shopping malls or at the ground floor of a landmark building.

The roles & responsibilities of a Travel Agent are:

- Selling ells travel related products and services, particularly package tours to end-user customers on behalf of third party travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, tour operator and tour companies, and cruise lines & etc.
- Most travel agents have a special department devoted to travel arrangements for business travelers, while some agencies specialize in commercial and business travelers.
- Some also serve as general service agents for foreign travel companies in different countries.
- Act as an agent for tour packages:
- Buy tour packages or tour services at discounts & sell with profits.
- Get commissions from suppliers & other tour companies.
- Act as a ticketing agent for transportation (e.g. airlines, ferry, bus, train & etc).
- Other commercial operations are undertaken: insurance, travel guides, car rental, Bureau de change, private tour guide & etc.
- Offer impartial travel advice to the customer.

Next time, if you traveling in small group less than 10 travelers, it is advisable to engage a Travel Agent. Do not try to find the best travel agent in Malaysia. There is no such myth! Just go with the travel agent that suit your traveling needs and budgets or the tour agent that you trusted the most. However, if you are organizing a group tour like company tour, a Tour Operator will be able to provide you a more suitable tailor-made service.

The above information are guidelines and advices that 88Holidays provided to its Corporate Clients in organizing group tour. It is simple but useful information to help organizing a successful company tour with many years experiences.

What Are the Rules concerning Bringing Liquids on Flights?

Ever since the tragic events of 9-11, airlines have stepped up safety in order to protect their passengers and give them comfort and ease when flying. If you have not flown recently, you should be aware of the rules with regard to bringing liquids on flights.

The 3-1-1 Rule

Tsa has established accurate policies about the quantity of toothpaste, bottled water, and other liquid and gel items permitted in carry-on luggage. Travelers boarding cheap flights are allowed to bring on board liquids with a capacity of 100ml / 100 grams or less, which can fit into one clear re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity of no more than 1 liter. One bag per passenger is permitted. Ditch the drink if there is more than 100ml in the container.

Liquids and Gels in Carry-Ons

Liquids and Gels can be carried on but only in petite quantities. Liquids and gels must be in personel packaging of three ounces or less and settled inside a clear plastic bag. The Tsa stresses that "containers should fit conveniently into your bag, and that only one bag is permitted per passenger." If you are bringing more than three ounces of any liquid or gel such as shampoo, it should go into your checked luggage. The Tsa does not want that liquids and gels be kept in their customary labeled containers, although doing so may help speed up the screening procedure.

Prescription Medications, Baby Formula, and Milk

You have to maintain prescription medications, baby formula, and milk at the safety checkpoint. You can carry more than three ounces without being settled in a plastic bag. The Tsa recommends but does not want that prescription medications be in their customary labeled containers. The Tsa can also make exceptions for other medicines such as eye drops, touch lens solution, and insulin. The Tsa recommends holding vitamins in their customary labeled containers, but does not mandate doing so. You are allowed to bring more than 100ml of the following: baby formula, baby food, milk or juice (as long as you have an infant less than two years of age with you!), prescription and needful non-prescription medicines. You must maintain all such items at safety screening and additional screening may be required.

Makeup

Makeup such as liquid mascara, lip gels, or other liquid makeup items, has to be settled in a plastic bag in three-ounce or smaller containers. Lipstick, powders, and solid lip balms are not branch to the rules and can be transported in carry-on bags.

Taking Food for the Flight?

Solid food is permitted in both checked and carry-on baggage. All liquid food in your carry-on (for example, yogurt, pudding or jam) must be in packaging of 100ml or less. All packaging must fit in the same clear, closed, re-sealable 1 liter plastic bag as all other packaging of liquids, aerosols or gels you are carrying. Any packaging over 100ml should be settled in checked baggage.

Can I bring dry ice? A Snow Globe? Or, Piñatas? The Canadian Air transport safety Authority website has an comprehensive list of what is allowed and what is not. Dry ice and snow globes get a yes. Piñatas, sadly, are a no.

At the Screening Checkpoint, take your plastic bag out of your carry-on luggage and place it in one of the provided trays.

It is more foremost than ever to supervene airline guidelines. Savvy travelers know that the fastest way to get straight through airport safety is to trip light and to remember the rules on carrying liquids.

Best and Worst Times to Travel to Europe

When planning your European trip, check your arrival and departures dates and see if they take into account peak, off-peak and shoulder travel periods.

Peak periods are the times when majority of travelers fly in and out of countries and these periods usually coincide with school holidays, Christmas, Easter and New Year. The country you are flying into will also have peak periods unique to that country, so expect flights and accommodation to be heavily booked and tickets to be more expensive. This peak period generally covers late December to January (because of the Christmas season) and late June to the end of August (summer break). Travel during the Christmas holidays can be difficult as plane ticket prices soar and ski resorts start overcharging. Public transport is also reduced in most areas since only a few trains will leave on Christmas day. The "shoulder period" is in spring and autumn and the low or "off-peak" periods are usually in the remaining months and in the winter.

If you have only a limited time to see Europe, your best bet is to fly in and out during a shoulder period. Prices are almost at their lowest and travel conditions are great because you can avoid the crowds and the overpricing. If you have a lot of time to spare in Europe, try flying in the low season when fares are cheapest so you have more money to spread over your stay. It's always a good idea to start checking airfares 3-4 months before you leave. Airlines are starting to discount in order to reward early bookers and there's a lot time to wait if you think they're too high. The cheapest ticket prices might turn up on the net or at your ticket office at anytime. And while you're at it, make sure you've already reserved your accommodation 6 weeks to 2 months before you leave. It's a good idea to reserve a hotel for your arrival and departure days. The rest can be reserved afterwards. Also, remember to check for travel dangers and updates. Your government and insurance company might draw the line if you visit a certain territory they've warned you about. Be informed about the dangers and uprisings in the country you are visiting and do last-minute updates to check conditions right before you leave.

For most seasoned travelers, the best time to see Europe is from April to June and September to October when the weather is still warm, the holiday crowds have left and accommodation and transport are regularly priced.

In contrast, the single worst time to visit most parts of Europe (especially the western and southern countries) is the month of August. This is when many Europeans leave and take their holidays in nearby countries as well. The cities can be deserted and as a result, accommodation prices shoot up and finding a bed can be very difficult. Buses and trains will often be packed and it can be a struggle to get a seat while you cross countries. Even most tourist shops and sites can be closed because the proprietors have gone on holiday as well! There's little doubt that July and August are the busiest tourist months in Europe (mainly because of Americans on vacation) and it will require a lot of patience and money. Avoid these months as much as you can. If you really must travel in the high season, your best course of action is to stay away from the major cities and choose the off-track towns and villages and indulge in the local culture.

Air Transportation

The carrying of paying passengers or freight by air is called air transportation. In present times, this business is done solely by airplanes. Giant dirigibles, or airships, tried to compete with the airplanes as recently as fifteen or twenty years ago, but airplanes proved to be faster and in the long run cheaper. Most of the business of companies engaged in air transportation is the carrying of passengers. Light freight and express is carried when it has to get to its destination in the least possible time, but most of the heavy freight is still carried by ships or railroads. Air transportation is probably the fastest-growing business in the world. Since the railroad was invented, about 125 years ago, it has carried most of the passengers and freight overland throughout the world. It still does.

However in 1954 airlines in the United States alone carried passengers more than 12 billion passenger miles, as compared to 32 billion passenger miles for the railroads, more than a third as much, and the number of air passengers was growing every year. Since passengers take airplanes only for fairly long distances, while the bulk of the railroad business is done over short distances, the airlines had at least equaled the railroad companies in the number of passengers they carried over the same route. The great advantage of airplane travel is the speed with which the journey is completed. Airliners, the giant luxury planes used for passenger travel, were going more than 350 miles an hour (and jet planes, in which the British were pioneers, were approaching 500 miles an hour).

While a fast train might reach 100 miles an hour or even a bit more on a long, straight, level stretch, they had trouble averaging more than 60 miles an hour for a complete trip. The airline passenger could save anywhere from four-fifths to nine-tenths of the travel time if he went by air. On short trips, airlines were not yet able to compete with railroads, because it took so long for a passenger to get to the airport in the city he left and from the airport to the city he was traveling to. The aviation world thought this might eventually be overcome by having helicopters land in the very centers of cities.

Cheap Disney Tickets - Buy Your Tickets Before You trip to Euro Disney

Visits to Disney are a treat for the whole family but unfortunately can work out to be expensive. It is possible to save a lot of money by planning you trip well in advance, this includes booking your entry tickets before you go.

We have been to Euro Disney several times and are picking up more tips every time we travel. What never ceases to amaze me however is just how high-priced the entrance tickets are if you buy them on the day at the turnstiles. This time when we went a day Hopper mark would cost you €62.00 yet it was possible to pre plan and get the same mark for €42.00 this is an improbable salvage especially if you are travelling in a large party.

Great places to start in hunt of those discount tickets is on forums that discuss Disneyland Paris. These forums give great guidance which is usually up to date. For example I discovered that Eurorail were giving away free tickets if you booked a train journey with them. I booked my journey from Paris to Marne La Valee for €14.50 and voila I managed to get into Euro Disney free of charge.

The legal Disneyland Paris website also often has some perfect deals that can save you money on the entrance fees if you buy in advance. Most deals are flexible and you can tailor nearby your families needs.

It is therefore possible to get discount tickets which can help with the cost of your visit. The key is in the planning and booking well in progress of your trip and as the saying goes "a stitch in time saves nine" In this case it save Euros!

Mango Airlines

Mango airlines was the third and final low cost airline to enter the South African market. Like all the other airlines in the country, it has its headquarters at Johannesburg International Airport (OR Tambo). The first airline to launch in SA with the budget structure was Kulula, and it was very successful in quickly taking market share away from SAA. So SAA decided to strike back and launch their own low cost airline. Initially it had the terrible name of TULCA (the ultimate low cost airline), but was since named Mango Airlines.

It has been reported that Mango airlines, being owned by SAA, and thus getting tax payer money, creates an unfair advantage for them as they can undercut their prices further than the other low cost airlines. The other budget airlines, namely Kulula and 1Time have reported Mango (and by association SAA) for this, but little to nothing has been done. Mango airlines flies to and from: cape town, Johannesburg, Durban and Bloemfontein. This is not as extensive as the other airlines. One thing they may have thought about though was registering the domain name mango.co.za, as this is owned by the South Africa mango growers association. The domain name they now have is flymango.com, which not only is confusing to people, but also does not have the co.za - which is the South African country ltd.

Although there is this bad press about Mango airways, and their association with SAA. Unlike their parent airline, they have actually turned a profit and it is said that they are now being run as a completely autonomous company. This all means that south Africans have more choice in the market and it keeps the other airlines on their toes to ensure that prices stay competitive.

My Online Life As a Student

I don't even watch TV anymore. I know that that's a little strange, given the one hundred and one channels on TV and my love of the boob tube, but I just said it: No TV. Not anymore, since my life has gone all online (sounds geeky, I know). The Internet is where I watch, write, read, shop, and shop for online discounts. It's where I do most of what I do, to be more precise about it.

All of us live in the so-called digital age; as for me - well, do I ever. Because of the constantly evolving IT landscape, privacy and connection to me are not mutually exclusive at all. I am not attached to my computer at all, but Google, YouTube, Amazon, Wikipedia, photo streams, social networking sites, virtual shopping carts and free shipping offers - I find that all of it is absolute genius. I've got to admit that. Of course, using the Internet, I am also able to learn about places, events, people, arts, and culture - without having to leave my chair.

I also keep an online public journal. Yes, folks. A blog. Which I regularly update with musings, photos, chronicles of my life as a student, the latest finds and online discounts from my shopping adventures on the Internet. And which generates a lot of interest and comments from young people like me. It's like sharing our personal stories and adventures with each other, all while defying physical distance and bridging the gap.

I use an Apple Macbook Air to update my blog, but of course I can't help but snoop around other blogs to see what other people are thinking, saying, watching, and buying. Meanwhile, I also upload the pictures I have taken with both my Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T50 and my Kodak Easy Share. (These cameras are really handy because they fit anywhere.) You see, I like to offer people a glimpse of what goes on in my life - the academic, the simple, the artistic, the behind-the-scenes, the behind-the-aisles, the virtual and online, the authentic. The real me in a virtual world.

My laptop also has plenty of other uses other than blogging. Or searching for online discounts. It is, after all, important for me to stay connected with family and friends. And technology has made my life convenient in this regard. I have a built-in webcam on my laptop and I go on Skype to do audio-video chat with families, classmates, relatives, and other friends here and abroad.

I am a delighted consumer of technology's neat new tools alright. My laptop is always with me in class, and I use it to take notes with ease and get down everything that my teacher is saying. I also use the Internet to research on materials for my essays, book reports, and other projects.

As a carefree, rolling stone kind of person, I also conduct other kinds of research online: cheap hotels and plane tickets, guides to essay-writing, online discounts for popular brands and products. I go online just to see what's going on out there. Whether I am at home or in school, well - I am always connected.

Travelling on a One-way Flight

People who are not sure of the duration of their stay in a certain place usually book a one-way flight. In contrast to taking a round trip flight, you don't have to worry about having to fit every activity in your tight schedule and can then seize each moment without having to reschedule your flight. Booking a one-way flight would be of great advantage if you are on adventure vacation and you want to savor the minutest moment with the person you are with. Another situation would be attending an occasion like a funeral of a relative where you cannot be certain how long you need to stay in that place. Still another would be business travelers who are on undetermined schedules. Thinking of rushing to depart would not be a concern if you take a one-way flight even if it may be a little bit pricey than round trip bookings.

Taking a Trip on a Domestic Flight

When you fly from one city to another but still within the perimeters of the same country, you are travelling a domestic flight. Take for example a trip from New York to San Francisco within the United States. Book ahead of time so you can take advantage of ticket discounts and airfares sold on sale or at a cut down rate. Services vary with the travel class taken, length of flight and destination. Snacks and meals are available on board a domestic flight depending on the distance and length of your travel. Domestic flights give free snacks like breads, fresh salads, chips and beverages. There are available food and drinks that you can separately purchase although some may be a bit costly. Other practical travelers would bring along snacks like sandwiches and biscuits to avoid buying expensive snacks. A domestic flight usually takes from 30 minutes up to four hours on board. Travelling from one city to another is much faster if you take domestic air flights compared to land travel.

Flight Safety

Enhancing their aircraft amenities is in line with the airline's goals to maintain the security and safety of their passengers all the time. Airlines have aircraft safety cards which provide passengers with information on how to act in various emergency conditions. For instances like turbulence, rapid motions or during take off and landing, there is a great possibility that passengers may be not seated and could hit the plane interiors causing an accident so airlines have reliable seat belts. They also have emergency oxygen masks for every passenger in cases where the aircraft oxygen level falls below the safe level and the cabin pressurization system stops working. To avoid danger, follow simple rules like not smoking inside the plane and not interfering with smoke detector devices. In addition to all these and more, the airline's flight attendants are well trained to assist the passengers in unlikely situations and well versed in providing safety instructions and assistance when necessary.

Bringing Pets on a Flight

Airline companies have come up with regulations and restrictions for passengers who need to bring their pets along with them in a flight. There are options to choose from in order to transport your pets safely and securely. First option would be to take your pet with you inside the cabin but this has to be reserved early because airlines have a limit as to how many pets can be allowed in a cabin during a flight. Your pet is not given the freedom to ramble around the cabin but instead it should be placed in a kennel or container. Most airlines only allow dogs and cats to be inside the cabin on a flight. Another option is to fly their pets as cargo. When pets are checked in, they should be placed in kennels with wide space for them to move around freely as they will be placed inside the cargo hold. Applicable fees would vary with destination and weight of the cargo. For hassle free travel with your most beloved pet, you have to follow the rules and limitations and everything will go on smoothly.

How to Find Bereavement and Family Emergency Airfares

When an unexpected death or medical emergency befalls a loved one far away, it is often very challenging to find and purchase an emergency airline ticket. It has always been the custom for airlines to charge the highest prices for tickets bought at the last minute, and even more if you don't know exactly when you will be returning.

For many years the airlines have offered bereavement airfares, but unfortunately most airlines have eliminated or dramatically reduced their family medical emergency and bereavement airfares in the past year. The airlines claim that competition has affected the marketplace so much that they just can no longer afford to reduce ticket prices any further. Really? We all know that last minute tickets with a flexible return date can often cost ,000 or more! Thankfully three major US airlines are still committed to assisting folks during family medical emergencies. They are American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and United Airlines.

Here are the steps you need to take to secure a bereavement or family medical emergency reduced rate airline ticket:

1) You must phone the airline's reservation department. Contact American Airlines at 800-433-7300, Northwest Airlines at 800-225-2525, or United at 800-241-6522. Information for this type of ticket does not exist online. Airlines don't even admit they have such fares on their websites! Tell the reservation agent that you need a medical emergency or bereavement reduced rate airline ticket and what the circumstances are.

2) You must be an immediate family member - sister, brother, parent, child, grandchild etc. If you have extenuating circumstances, by all means explain them to the agent, they have been known to bend the rules from time to time.

3) The airline agent will verify the information you are telling them, so have the following information at hand for verification: Your relative's full name, Name and phone number of the funeral home
or Name and phone number of the hospital or medical facility, Name and phone number of the attending physician.

Flights should be able to be booked in the course of one phone call, so be prepared with your desired dates and times of travel before placing the phone call. If the first agent you speak with does not seem able or willing to deal with your request, end the call and dial in again. Finally, you may want to check on Priceline.com, Kayak.com and with low cost carriers that serve your area to see what a standard ticket would cost. You may find that there is a less expensive option available online than with a reduced rate bereavement ticket.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Flying in an Aeroplane

Air travel is one of the fastest way of traveling on our planet. You can get from point A to point B much quicker than all other modes of transport. For example, when traveling to the same destination, a ship can take months while a plane will only take hours. Obviously, speed is the number one advantage for traveling in an air plane. There are other advantages as well.

Comfort

Commercial air planes are often more comfortable to ride in when the destination is far away. Occasional turbulence may be experienced while traveling in an air plane. But this is nothing compared to the way a ship will roll in rough seas. Some people suffer from air sickness but this is very rare.

Temperatures are kept to a comfortable level, and entertainment may be available. You can choose to listen to some soothing music, watch videos, or even play Nintendo games on an air plane. The level of comfort also depends on the type of seats that you have bought tickets for.

If you have a little more budget, you may want to consider buying a business class air ticket. This is your ticket that will get you a seat that offers more leg room and personal space. You are also attended to by attentive air stewards or stewardesses. If you need anything at all (e.g. blankets, food and wine, etc), just make a request and the items will sent to you without you having to leave your seat.

Besides comfort, if you choose to travel by air, you can also enjoy greater convenience.

Convenience

It is more convenient to travel by plane, especially when you are in a rush. You can book air tickets easily from your favorite travel agency just by making a phone call. Your travel agency will advise you on the next available flight, and you can decide on the spot whether you want to make a reservation.

Many metropolitan airports are serviced by numerous airlines. So unless it's the peak season, you should be able to book the tickets for the dates you want.

In addition, most international airports are equipped with comprehensive facilities to serve the difference needs of travelers. For instance, you should be able to locate car rental services easily at most major airports. Such services provide added convenience.

Perhaps the only major drawback for air traveling is the ticket price. The price of the ticket depends on your choice of airline, the class of your seat, and your destination. Bigger and more established airlines tend to charge more compared to smaller airlines. Business class seats are more luxurious, so they cost more than economy class seats. And of course, the further you travel, the more you may have to pay.

Despite higher prices, many still choose to travel by air due to the speed, comfort and convenience that air travel offers. Traveling by air saves a lot of time. Besides, numerous budget airlines offer air tickets at highly affordable prices. That makes air travel a more attractive mode of transport.

The Benefits of Safe Driving

Some of the benefits of driving safely are obvious (you are less likely to die). But some are a little less evident. Have you ever thought about the gas that you save by driving the speed limit? Or the incredible amount of money you will save on your car insurance? These things will save you a ton of money over your lifetime. Being a good driver is much more than just staying out of accidents.

Speed limits have a couple of functions.  They limit the speed on a freeway to a safe amount (theoretically), and they are optimized to improve fuel efficiency in cars.  Driving the speed limit, which is slower than most people drive, will lower the amount of drag that is put on your car by the air.  This allows your car to move freer through the air and get better gas mileage through better aerodynamics.  If you couple this with properly inflating your tires to the recommended PSI and not running the air conditioner you are going to squeeze every MPG you can out of your car.

Safe driving can help prevent accidents.  Obviously, not all accidents can be prevented, but you are going to reduce the chance that you are the cause of the accident.  This is going to keep your insurance premiums dramatically lower.  If you have already been in a car accident that you were at fault for you have seen what happens to your monthly payment.  Safe driving also lowers the risk that you are doing something dumb and getting a ticket.  Tickets will also increase your insurance premiums.

Drive smart, drive safe, and save a ton of money!

Living Cheap and Loving It - Living in an RV

Does the recent economy have you living cheap?

It sure does in our house. Take heart... you may be forced into spending less on housing. How can that be good?

A great fun way to experience cheap living is living in an RV. Yep...this lifestyle is cheaper than a house...it's much more flexible than a house...and you get to choose your climate as an added bonus.

So the poor 2009 economy is sending us lemons.  Let's make lemonade.

My wife and I lived on an RV for 7 years, 5 to 22 months at a stretch. What is bad about fly fishing in Montana in July? Then seeing Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Park, before wintering in Palm Springs and Arizona?...I'm waiting...that's what I thought... It is a great way to life.

You can do it too.

It's like being on constant vacation and your motel room moves with you. You never unpack, everything you need moves with you.

Most motor homes tow a car so you have transportation when you arrive. If you like pickups, then look at travel trailers. Or with smaller campers your "rig" is your car.

What type of rig is the best?...It all depends on you. They all see the same scenery and breathe the same air.

How cheap is it? It depends on how much traveling you do. The more you move the more fuel you will burn. If you spend no more than a week in one RV park you will also pay higher rent. The daily rate could be a night, but the monthly rate could be 0. So if you stay longer in one place you will save on rent and fuel. It's up to you how much you spend.

There are lots of things you may miss when you hit the road. Let's list them...your beloved snow blower...raking the leaves in the fall...unjamming the garbage disposal...painting the house...I could go on and on but you get the idea. Keeping up a house is not cheap living, it can be a pain.

You do have some maintenance chores for living in an RV, just like a car. Change the oil, air in the tires, the same basic car stuff. You do have plumbing in an RV, but it is pretty basic and simple to maintain.

Worry about what to do living in an RV? Better question is do I have enough time to do it all. Probably not. You will find that RV folk are friendly, willing to help, and all glad that they are having fun and living cheap.

Well, living in an RV is the lemonade from the lousy economy...which would be the lemons. If there are parts of this beautiful country you have not yet seen, an RV is a perfect vehicle (sorry) to see what you have missed. Enjoy.

Best Airfares

Getting the best airfare for your trip is one of the most important aspects of planning air travel be it for business or for pleasure. There are many ways to guarantee or to at least try getting prices that will work with your budget or with your schedule. This can be made possible by talking to your travel agents, or to the airline itself. Nowadays the internet is almost always the best bet when looking for air tickets to suit your budget. Different factors will determine the price of the ticket, for example, the sector or place being flown to, promotions available and even the airline itself.

If you have time on your hands before you make your trip, you can find the best airfares on the internet, through the airline reservations staff or your travel agents. Depending on the time of year, you can also find great promotional air fares. These are determined by low or high tourist seasons, political situations in a country, weather and so on. Picking off peak, low season dates to travel can guarantee you not only the best airfare deals to dream destinations like Egypt or Malaysia, but also great deals on accommodation and activities for the duration of your stay there.

Taking the time to look for the best airfares, or do some research which is always a good idea as you can get great deals, even when you are on a budget. Always ensure that you complete your booking or reservation when you get the best deal possible, and to always confirm and make sure you have provided the correct details.

Cover Letter Sample -- For the Corporate Flight Attendant

Writing a cover letter to send with your résumé can be both confusing and frustrating. What exactly should you say? Are you saying too much? Are you only speaking about your needs vs. The company's needs? Oh, what to do! In this "short" piece, I will list some ideas on how to craft your cover letter. I have also in case, granted some important links -- for added assistance -- particularly if you find yourself still needing outside help.

Basics

* Make sure you use exactly the same type of paper you use for your résumé. White with white is best, firm paper is strongly advised, especially paper containing 100% cotton. Cheap 20 lb. Copier paper is a terrible idea!

* A matching firm envelope #10 is acceptable. Tri-fold your copies separately; when you place the cover letter inside the envelope, make sure that the letter is shown first [when you lift the flap of the envelope up] followed by your résumé. Fold it so that your name and perceive facts is the first thing the recruiter sees. If you pick to use a kraft envelope make sure that is no smaller than 9x12 or bigger than 10x13. Place an provocative computer generated label on it with your return address shown appropriately. If you must write on it, Print your facts and do not be fancy. Remember: you want the post office and the company's mailroom to be able to read what you wrote! Otherwise, important time may be lost in the process.

* If you are emailing your facts make sure that the job listing stipulates that attachments are okay. If not, don't you dare send attachments! Instead, within the body of an email message you can write your cover letter [a brief introduction] and then cut and paste your résumé. I cannot tell you how many files never get read when the person does not do as instructed. You can also corollary up and mail in a hard [paper] copy if an address is provided.

Beginnings

* Match the header on your résumé with the header on your cover letter. They can and do get separated! An example header should look like this:

Jane Doe

14 Star Lane

Smithville, Nc 27777 Usa

Telephone: 919-555-1212

Cell Phone: 919-555-1213

Email: jdoe@nc.rrs.com

* contain your personal website address only if that facts is valuable. If you host a site that is weird, inflammatory, adult oriented, or otherwise controversial, simply do not expect any response from the company.

* Put today's date on the cover letter.

* Next, contain your contact's information, which can include:

Ms. Ellen Snow

Human Resources Coordinator

FlyByNight Aviation, Inc.

1234 Orville Wright Lane

Serendipity, Nc 27776

* Your salutation comes next and should look like this

-- Dear Ms. Snow:

Body

* Keep in mind that your cover letter must not be lengthy. You can say all that must be said in no more than three, maybe four, brief paragraphs.

* Here is a sample:

Attached, please find a copy of my résumé for your review. I am curious in the position of corporate flight attendant listed online at http://www.flybynight.com.

I believe my three years of international flying perceive along with my culinary background and language skills makes me the ideal candidate to serve FlyByNight's grand clientele. Currently, I work as an independent undertaker of a package deal and have flown to top destinations in Europe as well as throughout the U.S. And Canada. FlyByNight's need for a dependable, trained, and highly experienced team player is exactly the type of position I desire.

I look forward to meeting with you in person to discuss your single needs and how I can help FlyByNight successfully carry out its mission as the best operator of hidden jets in the world. Feel free to perceive me at your earliest convenience; I can be reached at 919-555-1212 or by on cell phone at 919-555-1213.

Byes

* Sincerely,

Jane Doe

Leave 3-4 lines from your "Sincerely" to your name. Your windup shouldn't contain other words along with Regards [too plain], Cheers! [too British], Love [too personal], etc. Remember, this is a firm letter.

In summation, keep it short and specific. Have three or four main points you can emphasize about your strengths, particularly, those points which match with the points listed by the firm in their job details. In this single case the candidate emphasized her culinary, language, and international tour experience, as well as her availability. All four points were stressed in the company's job listing which read:

"...international jet operator is searching for an experienced cabin attendant. This position involves serving our on query rent clients from east coast locations to destinations in the U.S. And abroad. Must have exceptional food service skills. Current training with Facts, FlightSafety or similar training vendor; French or Spanish language skills: a plus...

You cannot avoid talking about yourself, but you can control how you talk about yourself.

Do not...

1. ...beg for an interview.

2. ...mention money or benefits. If the job listing "demands" that you list your wages requirements, simply state that wages is negotiable.

3. ...overly boast about your skills: think about what the company's needs are, do you think they care that you were the recipient of an Nbaa scholarship? It is, however, okay to list scholarship awards on your résumé.

4. ...name drop. Unless, you already come highly recommended by person they know and like. Your mentor may be well known in this industry, but not universally liked. You can use them on your list of references, however.

Tying it all together, this is what your cover letter could look like:

Jane Doe

14 Star Lane

Smithville, Nc 27777 Usa

Telephone: 919-555-1212

Cell Phone: 919-555-1213

Email: jdoe@nc.rrs.com

Hua Hin: Prachup Khiri Khan, Thailand.avi

Hua Hin: Prachup Khiri Khan, Thailand where you can find peace of mind and nice friends around you. Prachuap Khiri Khan (Thai ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ (Pronunciation)) is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are Phetchaburi in the north and Chumphon in the south. To the west it borders Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar. Prachuap Khiri Khan, or commonly referred to as simply Prachup, is a province located in the lower central region 93km south of Hua Hin. While much smaller and quieter than Hua Hin, Prachuap is actually the provincial capital of the same-named province. It connects with the South of Thailand and possesses various interesting tourist attractions such as beaches, islands, forests and mountains. The long coast to the Gulf of Thailand has many sandy beaches, the most famous one being at Hua Hin, which has been a popular resort since King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) built a summer palace there. From the coast the land quickly rises into the Tanaosi Range, the mountain chain which forms the border to Myanmar, the highest elevation in the province being the 1494-meter-high Khao Luang. Due to this narrow watershed the rivers in the province are all small; the only bigger one is the Pran Buri River in the north of the province. Among the smaller rivers is the Khlong Kui. The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park was established in 1966 to protect Thailand's largest freshwater marshes. The park also contains some mangrove woods and mudflats. Most of ...

Cheap Fares

There is always excitement to go for vacations no matter far or near. There are plenty of exotic places to go around. One has to decide which one is the best and fits the budget. When we are talking about budget we normally think of flying the airlines or on routes that have cheap fares. Because higher airfares can kill the excitement if you factor in other things like hotel stay, food, shopping and sightseeing.

To get low airfares on any destinations, one has to keep in mind the seasons. There are generally there seasons as per airline industry and these are low, shoulder and high season. If you are planning to travel during high summer season when colleges and schools are closed and people go for long vacations, the airfares are usually higher than non-peak seasons. However, with little efforts one can still get cheap fares to any destinations.

Calling airlines directly often helps as they may have occasional promotions going on. Even traditional travel agents are still very helpful to work out on any itinerary and can offer your real good travel deals. Checking both with the airlines and travel agents can help you to figure out what is the going price range during the time you want to fly.

There are consolidators who too are large travel agents and have bulk contract with the airlines. Their long time affiliations with the airlines get the best price airline tickets. The carriers sell excess itinerary to consolidators, offering commissions of as much as 30 percent in exchange for agreeing to sell a large volume of tickets. Consolidators in turn offer cheap fares, the cheaper-than-published fare tickets by rebating part of these commissions to the consumer. Airlines still monitor as to how many seats they sell through consolidators. Many of these consolidators work through sub-agents and retail travel agents, who make money by adding their own commission to the sales price.

These cheap fares consolidator's tickets do not reflect the full price on the tickets. They are often more liberal than published fare coach class tickets, requiring sometimes no advance purchase and no Saturday-night stay. Trips usually can last up to 90 days. But these tickets come with restrictions and are often non-refundable.

10 Things You Absolutely Must See Or Do in London

If you're an infrequent visitor to London and plan to hit the tourist trail then the last thing you'll want is to be pointed in the direction of the underwhelming, the uninspiring or the instantly forgettable. There's enough of that where you live, which is why you're visiting London!

Our guide features London's best galleries, museums, landmarks, historical sites, shopping areas and entertainment zones, all guaranteed to provide the ultimate London tourist experience. The attractions we've highlighted are unashamedly well known, but do you really want to be returning home to tell your friends about the fantastic thimble shop in Pimlico you visited? Or would you rather rave about the phenomenal view of one of the world's great cities from the top of The Eye, or that you've actually seen the beauty of Van Gogh's Sunflowers with your own eyes?

London has a multitude of varied and exciting attractions but these are the ones without which, your trip just wouldn't be the same!

Oxford Street
Britain's busiest high street and London's best known shopping area is chock-a-block full of the largest branches of the nation's most popular shops - over 300 in fact. Many of the biggest high street names have their flagship stores here and the street also boasts the oldest record shop in the world (HMV at number 363). It's not all hardcore shopping though - light entertainment is often provided in the form of chanting Hari Krishnas skipping along the pavement. If you can't find what you want to buy in Oxford Street, you haven't got much of a hope elsewhere.

Nearest Tubes: Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, and Tottenham Court Road

Camden Market
If you're after a more bohemian approach to shopping than the Oxford Street experience, then get yourself up to Camden. One of London's coolest areas has a seemingly endless array of shops and stalls selling such items as clothing (new, second hand and retro), customised Doc Martins and trainers, jewellery, bootleg CDs and DVDs and craft ware. Open daily; it's a multi cultural experience with some great little food outlets dotted all over.

Nearest Tube: Camden Town

Tower of London
Built by Billy The Conqueror nearly a thousand years ago, this is one of the best preserved and most famous historic landmarks in the world. Full of the history of executions and imprisonments and offering the spectacle of the Beefeaters, the ravens and the crown jewels as well as the majesty of the building itself, this remains THE essential place of historic interest to visit when in London. camelotintl.com/tower_site/index.html

Nearest Tube: Tower Hill.

St. Paul's Cathedral
Britain's best known place of worship and certainly one of its most recognisable buildings, having so often been the centrepiece of state occasions. The cathedral was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built 300 years ago following the destruction of the previous building by the Great Fire Of London. An awe inspiring feat of architecture, steeped in history and featuring works of art, monuments, mosaics and the Whispering Gallery, the Cathedral is also still a busy working church. So booking your wedding here during the summer months might just be a bit tricky.

Nearest Tube: St Pauls

National Gallery
The National Gallery is home to one of the greatest collections of European art in the world. Featuring works painted between 1250 and 1900, the collection includes such well known pieces as Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Botticelli's Venus And Mars and Constable's Hay Wain. Sadly, the work of the great Rolf Harris is too recent and too Australian to be included - see the Tate Modern.

Nearest Tube: Charing Cross. Admission: Free

British Museum
Founded over 250 years ago, it could be said that the British Museum is one of London's oldest and most prized exhibits - the museum building itself is one of Britain's greatest architectural landmarks. Housed inside is a collection of art and antiquities from ancient and living cultures the world over spanning two million years featuring the Rosetta Stone, the Easter Island statue and the earliest known image of Christ.

Nearest Tubes: Tottenham Court Road, Goodge Street, Russell Square & Holborn. Admission: Free

London Eye
Undoubtedly the quickest way to take in all of London's major attractions is by jumping on the Eye. There's not much of the city that can't be seen from the top of what has become one of the London skyline's most dominating features. To further enhance your flight on this modern day feat of engineering, you can even order champagne to be served in your capsule (not recommended for the easily nauseas). http://www.londoneye.com

Nearest Tubes: Waterloo & Westminster.

Tate Modern
If random blobs of paint on canvas and piles of rusty old engine parts is your idea of art, then get yourself down to the Tate Modern. Created in a disused power station on the banks of the Thames, the gallery has become one of London's most fascinating attractions since opening in 2000. The collection features works by Picasso, Matisse, Dali, Pollock and Warhol and represents all the major movements since 1900. Sadly, the work of the great Rolf Harris is too art like to be included - see the National Gallery.

Nearest Tubes: Southwark & Blackfriars. Admission: Free (however donations are gratefully received)

Covent Garden
Formerly a fruit and vegetable market, 'The Garden' is now a constant and varied hive of activity. It has a hugely diverse selection of shops, eateries, bars, a market selling art, crafts, antiques and souvenirs, historic buildings, theatres, the Royal Opera House and fantastic free entertainment provided by street entertainers and musicians. If you can't find something to capture your interest at Covent Garden then you must be harder to please than Simon Cowell on a bad day.

Nearest Tube: Covent Garden.

Trafalgar Square
Undoubtedly one of the most famous sights of London without visiting which, a trip to the capital would be incomplete. Not only are tourists drawn to see Nelsons Column, the fountains, the lions, the annual gift of a huge Christmas tree from Norway and the pigeons (dirty little so and sos), but it is where the masses flock to in times of national celebration or when there is cause to demonstrate. Trafalgar Square truly is the meeting place of the nation.

Nearest Tube: Charing Cross.

There are times when a sudden illness or death in the family precludes you from the luxury of searching nearby for low-cost air fares to reach your loved ones. Although most airlines do not offer services to accommodate this situation, Delta does have a bereavement policy in the event of death or imminent death in your immediate family; however, this appears to be only in relationship with air trip out of the United States.

Timing is everything; however, there are situations where develop planning for air trip is not possible. Such a situation would be in the event of the death or imminent death of a family member. If you should have to trip out of the United States in order to attend to the responsibilities linked with a family member, some airline offers bereavement fares. In most instances, the fares will be discounted, with the range between 10 to 75% off full fare prices, the average being 50%.

Delta is one airline that offers bereavement fares; however, they must be purchased in man at any Delta ticketing location. The fares are not posted on the lawful delta.com website. Delta also has a section with information for funeral directors and family members how must converyance human remains and personal effect.

In order to qualify for these fares, Delta has definite definitions as to who qualifies as an immediate family member. The list includes: spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, sister, brother, step-parent, step-child, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, stepbrother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and stepsister.

Delta requires documentation in order to prove familial relations and the documentation must be in case, granted at the time the marker is purchased. Such documentation consists of the passenger's relationship to the deceased, the name and phone number of the funeral home, hospital or hospice premise and the name of the treating physician, if applicable.

If the traveler is a member of SkyMiles, he may be entitled to Platinum Medallion or North American upgrades.

If you choose to trip with a carrier other than Delta, contacting the airlines may be a viable option. It appears that most airlines have done away with hardship flights and full-price fares may be the only option. The most viable selection seems to be finding for last wee flights on websites such as cheaptickets.com, lastminutetravel.com or priceline.com. Sometimes it might be advisable to sense the airlines in the area to which you need to travel, explaining your situation and finding if they can offer any type of accommodations. Another source, although not as recommended would be to post an ad on Craig's List, being very definite about your trip requirements.

A Behind the Scenes and Almost Underground Tour of Disney World By a Former Disney Cast Member

OK, OK, so you've been to Disney World about 87 times.

But how would you like an exclusive, private tour to see Walt Disney World as few ever will? As a former Disney World Cast Member I have volunteered to be your tour guide through the behind-the-scenes world of what makes Disney World so magical.

You'll have fun learning about a variety of backstage locations. We'll also take a peek under the Magic Kingdom Park and see Cast Member costuming, wardrobe, the so-called tunnel system, Disney's nursery and tree farm, waste treatment facilities and other service areas.

Let's start at the end, with sludge. Sludge from the water treatment facility is everybody's business dried out and then used on the grounds for fertilizer. Reclaimed tinkle water is used for watering grass and plants. The water valves are labeled "Reclaimed Water - Do No Drink" Thanks for the heads up, Mickey!

Now we'll visit the plant nursery. Remember all those cool and cute topiary designs around the park? Well, this is where Disney Cast Members grow and shape the topiary critters. All this coolness takes time; about seven to eight years to grow a single topiary character. One of my personal favorites is a smiling Mickey Mouse holding a Disney Vacation Club [http://www.edisneytimeshare.com] sign near the entrance to the Wilderness Lodge Hotel.

Then there is the parade storage area behind Splash Mountain. The back of Splash Mountain has many doors labeled, for example, "Access to Scene 31". Here you'll see Mickey Mania, Spectromagic, and the Electric Water Parade paraphernalia. You can walk around and look at the parade pieces all you want. But no photos please. The Spectromagic floats are made of mesh, so the driver can see out, and are covered with small Christmas-type lights controlled by computers. There is also a small fan to cool down the driver. If you or the kids have always wanted to look inside the Sea Witch float from The Little Mermaid, this is your big chance.

When I was a Disney cast member I strolled the tunnels on my breaks and dined in the underground cafeterias. Very romantic. Actually, the tunnels are fake. Since the water table is very high in Florida it would be costly to keep real tunnels dry. Disney thus built a neat system of utility corridors at ground level and then covered them with dirt. This made a new ground level one floor higher. The Magic Kingdom was built on top of this. Therefore, Main Street USA is actually on the second floor.

The "Utilidors" make a circle around the park connecting all of the Lands and rides. There is also a utility corridor under Main Street USA connecting the entrance to Cinderella's Castle. All of the Magic Kingdom utilities are nestled within the Utilidors. There is water, electricity, fiber optic cable, and the ultra-cool Vacuum Trash System.

The Disney World Vacuum Trash System has become a model for several other very large buildings, and even parts of cities and municipalities. The system uses pipes about two feet in diameter to suck all the trash to a central collection point.

Another unusual device in the Utilidors supplies the various odors to different parts of the park. There is one under the bakery that releases chocolate cookie smell into Main Street. Mickey wanted to use real cookie smell, as I recall. But, alas, there was no way to produce non-stop chocolate chip morsels. So, these odor producer machines are used for cookies and that just-right smell in many other places; smoke, orange groves, and so forth

The Utilidor also has various Cast Member services like a Credit Union, a 2-Hour Film Developer, cafeterias, and lockers. Costuming and wardrobe is also located down here. When I worked there I was always amused to see my favorite characters wandering around half dressed or carrying their heads. The walls of the Utilidors are color coded. There are also many maps and directional signs to help lost Cast Members (like me).

So when you visit Disney World for your 88th trip, keep an eye peeled for a sudden and magical character appearance. Mickey or Minnie may just pop out of a hidden door leading from the Utilidor below. And you'll know their secret!
