Airlines, Travel Inside Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the main Latin American countries in Central America where tourism is booming. Hence the need for the airlines that travel to Costa Rica is increasing and the government is working its best to supply the demand.

There are several airlines that travel to Costa Rica for both international and domestic charter flights. The official airline Lacsa (Lineas Aereas Costarricense SA), which has been established since 1945 and is basedCountry's largest airport in San Jose.

Lacsa operates international scheduled flights to more than 20 major destinations in Central, North and South America. These provisions Bogota, Tegucigalpa, Guatemala City, New York, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Toronto, Havana, Lima, Panama City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and San Salvador.

Another of the airlines that service Costa Rica is Aeropostal Alas de Centroamerica. It is a relatively new budget airline in San Jose. It was founded in 2003, although it began its activities in 2005.

There are two major airports in Costa Rica. The first is the Juan SantamariaAirport, which is the cities of San José, Alajuela and Heredia accessible. The second is the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, in Guanacaste province.

Although the airport in Liberia is much smaller than the first, impressive flights replaced by large airlines like American, Air Canada, Delta, Continental and United. As the gateway to Guanacaste's fantastic beaches of Costa Rica, they have for the domestic airports are in Carrillo (Samara), Nosara, Punta Islita and Tamarindo. Other domestic airports are Pavas Domestic Airport in San Jose and La Fortuna Domestic Airport in Alajuela.
