A day trip to Cairo from Cyprus

I went to Egypt for a day of flights from Paphos to Cairo in August 2007 on holiday in Cyprus. It took an hour to get there. I booked the trip with a travel agent in Paphos and Cyprus will cost EUR 200 per person to travel with Louis Travel.

The air was a good trip and flight), including meals (breakfast.

The day was packed with many things to do. We arrived in Cairo and has quickly become a coach, has brought us to our first destination - CitadelSaladin.

The coach drove through Heliopolis, an elite suburb of Cairo our professional guide pointed out places of interest and led us in the long history and rich culture of Egypt, "the way" for our first highlights, with a mosque called Alabaster Mosque Mohamed Ali. We spent some time around here in the mosque on foot around him.

Our next stop was the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Our coach guide gave us lots of information that you take as yourHad to walk around. Take as little as possible because you will stop along the way and asked to buy souvenirs. We walked around the pyramids and paid £ 1 cy to the interior of the pyramid, which was in fact very muddy and narrow, if they got walking down steps. It's dark, and in August the heat was unbearable. If you do not like claustrophobic then you do not go to the pyramids. There are only a grave down the bottom once inside. I only have it for the experience ofknow what it would feel.

Around this area of the pyramids was very dusty and hot as it was August. I wanted to travel to Cairo at this time only because I had a friend visit me here in Cyprus and she wanted to go with me.

Then we went to a five-star hotel called the Meridian hotel where we sat and had a four-course lunch. The food was excellent. Some excellent Egyptian spreads were laid out for us.

Then we visited the Papyrus Institute and shopping atoriental bazaar, where I bought an Egyptian 18 carat gold chain and pendant with my name written in Egyptian. I bought an Egyptian scroll painting with my name on it written in the Egyptian again.

Next we want to visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, where our guide gave us a tour rep. We have seen, we visited Tutankhamun and the mummy room. The mummy room should not be missed. The history and the appearance of the mummies are very unique.

The next trip was the cruise on the Nile with folkloricPresentation, belly dancing, cold sandwiches, cookies, coffee / tea and a glass of champagne. That was the best part of all, as we drove along the Nile, while food and beverage watching the entertainment. After dinner we went on deck and took some pictures of the Nile.

At the end we were traveling back to the airport of Cairo and in the air to Paphos. We had snacks on the plane, which was included in our journey.

I would recommend going to Cairo for the dayfrom Cyprus, as do a strenuous trip with a lot. If you are on holiday in Cyprus in the high season, then please note that the weather is very hot. It is a popular destination with most tourists visiting Cyprus and it is quickly booked up, as flights leave for just one day to Paphos on Tuesdays and Fridays.

  1. That would be really a nice to trip and to see all these locations. I always prefer a Private Jet which can make my travel so simpler and easier.

  2. The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land. Flights to Entebbe
