Transatlantic flights threatened Pilot Strikes

Many British holidaymakers travel across the Atlantic to popular holiday destinations such as Florida and New York each year, is New York City alone has 43 million visitors a year. This number can be significantly reduced if the current pilot phase to America strike continues to spread.

However, U.S. company, American Airlines has a partnership with the BA, but despite this they have said they support the pilots union hundred percent and then when the British pilots strike, the former U.S. pilots who would work in general, the flights to and from the United Kingdom would be likely to strike.

This would have a devastating impact on the lucrative trans-Atlantic flights company that has just seen a replay, earning period is made in the last quarter of 2007, which was mainly due to the surge of bargain hunters hoping the stores in New York to take advantage of the favorable exchange rate.

While it is estimated that only 12,000 American Airlines pilots may take action it would be feared that the bug spreading to other U.S. airlines can. Last week 86 percent of British Airways pilots agreed to find measures. With 68 percent of transatlantic flights, either AA orBA, it would mean that the majority of flights would be grounded in the U.S..

For now, flights would be affected, but if you booked for later this year, it is advisable to keep an eye on the proceedings, as you may need to rearrange your flight.
